Having own safety in mind, it is necessary to remember the following:
- Forks constitute a direct element influencing safety of the forklift truck.
- As any spare part, forks start to get worn due to rubbing against the ground. The result of it is thinner flat bar and lower load capacity.
- You should not lift any load on one fork even if it is less than the load capacity. You should not lift anything within the end of the fork.
- You should not attempt to repair the fork yourself. All repairs should be carried out by the manufacturer.
- Forks should be serviced at last once a year.
